Tongue Guide Pro (for professional use)

The Tongue Guide 'Infant Pro' and 'Standard Pro' have been developed in collaboration with pediatrician Lawrence Kotlow for professional use by OMFT-therapists, dentists, oral surgeons, ENT specialists and orthodontists. With the instrument it is easy to move the tongue upwards and to tension the tongue tie. For example, while measuring the Kotlow classification of the tongue tie with the Kotlow ruler. But also while correctiing the tongue tie by means of electrosurgery or laser treatment.

The professional versions of the Tongue Guide come in two variants:

• The Tongue Guide Infant Pro, for use with babies or very young children (from 0 to 2 years).
• The Tongue Guide Standard Pro, for use with children from 2 years and for adults.

For pre- and post-operative use by parents, there is another variant: the Tongue Guide Infant Home.

The Tongue Guide 'Infant Pro' and 'Standard Pro' are made of sturdy plastic material and offer patients comfort with their soft, smooth edges. Also for the professional it is a pleasure to work with it, because of the ergonomically shaped handle. The Tongue Guide is an alternative to using the grooved director, which is made of stainless metal and can therefore feel a bit cold. During a laser surgery, extra caution is required when working with a grooved director. Because the steel is reflective, unwanted damage can occur if the laser beam hits it and bounces off. With the Tongue Guide there is no such risk.

Both versions of the Tongue Guide Pro are reusable after cleaning with alcohol. After surgical use, the Tongue Guide Pro can be sterilized in an autoclave (it is recommended to do this a maximum of 30 times).
